Community programs
Community development underpins everything we do at Bridge Darebin.
In order to give back, our organisation understands that we need to know our people, not just as a demographic, but as humans. We take into account accessibility, cultural and social diversity and educational differences and mould our offerings into a holistic approach that provides equal opportunities for whatever space a person wishes to step into.
Food Relief
Bridge Darebin has been hosting Laneway Lunches since 2014. Supported by Quest Preston, this program assists around 60 Darebin residents each Friday to be able to enjoy a nutritious lunch and connect socially. All are welcome to join us on Fridays between 12pm-1.30pm.
Every year in December we collect and package up food donations for festive hampers.
Want to contribute to these important initiatives? Great! You can support them for as little as $5 by making a tax deductible donation via the button below and help us reach our annual target of funding to provide over 3000 meals.

Women’s Career Chats & Coffee
Back by popular demand, Moon Rabbit will host sessions on their deck for women looking for work or exploring their next step. Enjoy a supportive space to connect with like-minded women, share experiences and be guided by experts. Plus, enjoy a free hot drink as you chat and learn. What have you got to lose?
10 – 11.30am, Wednesdays (fortnightly) starting 5th February.
NeuroConnect
NeuroConnect is a social group led by neurodivergent young people, offering a safe and supportive space to build social connections and explore activities tailored to their interests. Designed for participants aged 18–30, this peer-led initiative fosters community, independence, and empowerment. Sessions are facilitated by Max (they/them), an experienced advocate for disability pride and neurodiversity.
In 2025, NeuroConnect will expand to include exciting new workshops and events, creating even more opportunities for engagement. Join us at Bridge Darebin Preston, where meaningful connections are made. For more information, contact amelia@bridgedarebin.org.au.
